Financial Security Travelmood is fully bonded for your financial security. We are members of ABTA and PATA and hold an Air Travel Organisers Licence (ATOL)...
Air Travel Organiser's Licence
The License is issued by the CAA to tour operators who meet certain financial
requirements including putting up a 'bond'. If the tour operator fails, the bond
money is used to enable clients abroad to complete their holidays and return home,
and to compensate those who still have to go on holiday, but have paid some or all
the cost in advance.
The Association of British Travel Agents
This is a trade body for
travel agents and tour operators. It has both a 'commercial role' to promote the
interests of its members and a 'regulatory' role. ABTA members have to operate to
Codes of Conduct produced by the organisation, they are bonded so that client's
money is protected in the event of failure and in the event of an unresolved
dispute between a passenger and an ABTA member there is an arbitration service
available which can be used as an alternative to legal action.
Please click on the ABTA logo to be taken to the ABTA site where you will find more information.
International Air Transport Association
The trade body representing
most major airlines. Travel agents displaying the IATA logo have met certain
financial and professional criteria. These criteria do not extend to matters
of a customer service nature, nor does it offer financial protection to passengers.
The Pacific Asia Travel Association
The Pacific Asia Travel
Association is a not-for-profit travel trade association serving government
tourist offices, airlines, hotels and other travel-related companies throughout
the Pacific Asia region. PATA's mission is to enhance the growth, value and
quality of Pacific Asia travel and tourism for the benefit of its membership.
PATA has long been an advocate of balancing growth with responsible conservation
measures.
