Beautiful Pralognan
The little village of Pralognan is tucked away in the French Alps - surrounded by dramatic peaks it makes a superb base from which to explore. Our time here will be divided between included activities and a large array of optional ones, enabling you to choose how active to be! To start we'll take a cable car ride onto the slopes of Mt. Bochor from where we'll walk mountain paths in search of marmots. Next day children and adults alike will be in fits of laughter as we harness up under the watchful eyes of our instructors and wobble our way along a hilarious ropes course!

A night on the mountain
We take time out to wander through Pralognan's weekly market, then take a cable car and hike to our mountain refuge. Here as the sun dips below the horizon setting the mountains on fire we'll enjoy a simple meal before settling down for the night - an unforgettable experience. Over the next few days there's lots of free time for an amazing array of optional activities - choose from parapente, via ferrata (rock climbing), canyoning, rafting, mountain biking, horse riding, tennis, minigolf, swimming - even ice-skating!

Visit a local cheese-maker
The Savoie is renowned for its cheese and towards the end of our week we make the trip into the beautiful countryside once again, this time to visit a traditional cheese-maker. We'll learn about the process of turning milk into cheese, enjoy a tasting and of course have an opportunity to buy some to enjoy at home. Finally we'll walk back to the village for a free afternoon to enjoy some last optional activities.

Join Chambéry station; transfer to Pralognan.

Free morning for optional activities; afternoon cable car to start of walk to spot marmots.

Day 3

Morning ropes course; afternoon free for optional activities.

Day 4

Village market; afternoon cable car to start of walk to refuge for overnight stay.

Day 5

Descend from refuge; rest of day free for optional activities.

Day 6

Free day.

Day 7

Morning visit traditional cheese-maker; afternoon free.

Day 8

Transfer to Chambéry station where tour ends.
