Description
Only an hour's drive from Innsbruck, Pertisau (950m) has long been a favourite winter base among cross-country skiers. An attractive village with several hotels and bars, it lies on the west shore of the Achensee, a high lake just south of the border with Germany. All around are the shapely peaks of the Karwendel Alps, dramatic limestone mountains that rise to 2400m. We stay in a comfortable 4-star hotel and our groups enjoy the combination of fine skiing and quality accommodation. The cross-country here is excellent, with over 120km of trails covering Pertisau and nearby Achenkirch. Options take us into three scenic side valleys, including Falzthurntal and Pletzachtal, and the stunning 'Panorama-loipe' follows the shores of Lake Achensee from Pertisau itself.

This comfortable hotel is peacefully located on the edge of the village, with a sun terrace perfect for after-ski drinks, and a separate lounge where guests can relax. Facilities include a spa and wellness centre with swimming pool (12m x 5m), sauna, steam-room, gym and games room - all are free of charge. Breakfast is a large buffet with plenty of choice, and evening meals feature local specialities. Twin-bedded, double-bedded and single rooms all have shower and WC, TV and telephone. \r
