Petra And Wadi Rum Long Weekend (EDAXA)
Duration:
5 days (may vary)
Areas: Jordan
Tour types: History & Culture, Nature & Wildlife
Description
A fun packed active long week-end break, that includes the spectacular 'Rose-red city' of Petra and is also home to some fabulous scenery in the desert at Wadi Rum, where we take a 4WD excursion into the more remote regions and camp out like the Bedouin. A truly stunning country and just a short flight from the UK, Jordan is the perfect destination for a weekend break with a difference. We start with a relaxing float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea before heading further south to the dramatic landscape of the Wadi Rum desert for a 4WD adventure and night under the stars. The following day we pick up the Kings Highway to the rose-red city of Petra. Here we will have two full days giving us plenty of time to explore the ancient city, recently named one of the new wonders of the world due to its spectacular caves, tombs and carvings which are scattered over the landscape, before heading back to explore the bustling capital of Amman.
