Tour itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Berlin
After checking-in to your hotel, the remainder of the day is yours to explore all that Berlin has to offer. Join your Tour Manager and fellow travellers for dinner.
Day 2 Berlin
A full day of sight-seeing including the remains of the Berlin Wall, the Russian War Memorial and the Brandenburg Gate. An opportunity to visit the "Checkpoint Charlie" museum. Tonight, why not head for town, mix with the locals and try some traditional fare?
Day 3 Berlin to Prague
Drive south through Germany and stop for lunch in Dresden. We head into the Czech Republic for two nights in Prague, the golden city built on Seven Hills across the River Vltava.
Day 4 Prague
This morning's sightseeing tour includes Hradcany Castle, the Cathedral of St Vitus and Wenceslas Square. Then time to explore the Jewish Quarter.
Day 5 Prague to Vienna
Today we travel through the Czech countryside to Vienna. We drive around the famous Ring Road on our city tour and see the Palace of the Hapsburgs, St Stephen's Cathedral and the State Opera House. Time to wander Vienna's streets this afternoon.
Day 6 Vienna to Budapest
More time to explore Vienna before we cross into Hungary and its capital Budapest, built on both sides of the River Danube. Tonight, why not join us on a river cruise for great views and a delicious buffet dinner?
Day 7 Budapest
A chance to explore Budapest at leisure. Maybe visit both sides of the Danube, see the quaint hilltop Buda and bustling Pest. Tonight, an opportunity to enjoy Eastern Europe's liveliest nightlife.
Day 8 Budapest to Krakow
North through Slovakia, we stop in the picturesque town of Banska Bystrica before crossing into Poland. The next two nights are in the original Bohemian city of Krakow which is the birthplace of the late Pope John Paul II.
Day 9 Krakow
Our sightseeing tour includes the Royal Castle and St Mary's Church. Time to explore the city and a chance to visit the fascinating Wieliczka salt mines.
Day 10 Krakow to Warsaw
Our first stop is the Concentration Camp of Auschwitz - a visit never to be forgotten. Then north to Czestochowa, site of the magnificent 14th Century Paulite monastery at Jasna Gora and home to the famous portrait, the 'Black Madonna', thought to be painted by St Luke. We continue on to Warsaw, the rebuilt capital of Poland.
Day 11 Warsaw
Today we visit the Warsaw Ghetto and Old Town, reconstructed after wartime destruction from paintings by Canaletto's nephew.
Day 12 Depart Warsaw / Berlin
Time for final farewells as your tour finishes after breakfast at the hotel in Warsaw OR join us for a free return journey to Berlin where your tour will end upon arrival.
