Comfort Level

Graded ‘gentle’, so anyone in good health can take part in this classic safari. Be prepared for cold conditions in the mornings and evenings when out on game drives. Also the nature of the terrain makes this a fairly dusty trip so protect your electrical equipment.

Dining Out

Trip price includes: 8 breakfasts, 6 lunches & 7 dinners. The hotel in Arusha will provide an evening meal on arrival and breakfast both mornings that you are there. The rest of the food will be cooked at the campsites, over open fires. The food is delicious and varied.

Responsible Travel

The Arusha Children’s trust, a charity that runs projects in rural communities in the remote areas of the rift valley, seeks to improve the lives of the tribal groups that live there, without imposing western values on them. Located in a remote village outside of Arusha, a school built by our local supplier, teaches young children who would not otherwise have access to any sort of formal education, helping them develop a wider understanding of their world and provides one hot meal a day. For every traveller that books onto a selection of a Tanzania trips, The Adventure Company donates $5 towards the Arusha Children’s Trust.

Transport Used

Typically we use a Toyota Land Cruiser for every five or six passengers. There is good visibility from these vehicles for game viewing. The trip is accompanied by your expert local driver / guide.

Your Accommodation

Hotel (2 nights), tented camp (2 nights), camping (4 nights). In Arusha you stay in a modern property within the municipal area of Arusha town. It has lovely gardens and a swimming pool set in five acres. The tented camps are fixed camps and the tents have shower rooms. The camping is in large canvas tents. There are ablution blocks at each campsite.
