Accommodation

Adventure Level
There are no challenging physical activities on this trip. The walks and camel riding are quite easy and you can opt out if you don't want to take part. Any healthy child or adult should be able to take part. It's more a case of preparing mentally for Moroccan life. Seasoned travellers are unlikely to have any problem with this. There are some longer drives through marvellous scenery. Minimum age: 5 years.
Climate
Winter: Marrakech is generally warm and sunny (average daytime temperature - low 20s °C), but nights can be cold - especially Nov-Feb. Temperatures on the coast are similar but moderated by coastal breezes, and lower still in the mountains (depending on altitude and wind) - particularly at night.
Summer: It is hot during the day (low 30s °C), but cooler at night. What little rain there is generally falls in winter but can occur at any time of year. In the Atlas, as in any mountain region, the weather is variable whatever the season and can change from warm sunshine to snow in a matter of hours.
Although spring and autumn are a perfect time for visiting Morocco, remember that nights are often cold, so warm layers are essential.

We had such a fantastic time that we are considering another holiday with you. Kate was a great tour leader. I would certainly consider another holiday led by her.
Responsible Travel
We offset the carbon emissions associated with the in-country travel on all of our trips by supporting a solar stove and clean energy project in Madagascar.
Working closely with our local agent we do our best to support and encourage local schools and projects in all the areas of Morocco that we visit. We strongly discourage people from giving directly to children in the street as it encourages begging. We prefer to support local well-run organizations and projects which are of greater long term benefit to many more people.
Since the increase in popularity of bottled water, many countries are experiencing a problem of litter especially where adequate recycling is not available. Please could you try, where possible, to use purification tablets or buy bigger bottles of water rather than a large number of small water bottles.
We do our best to support local schools and it may be possible for you to visit one, and take a gift, for the children.

We were very impressed with our group leader 'Abdul'. We found him to be a very interesting and informative person. He was very helpful and went out of his way to assist us when we had any problems - he is a credit to your organisation.
