Accommodation in a Village House

The house that we use in Zaton Bay is situated on a hill approximately three mins walk from the sea.  The centre of the village is also a few minutes walk away containing a grocery store, bank and cafes.  From the villa’s balcony, you can enjoy a nice view of Zaton village.  There is a outdoor terrace where you will enjoy eating breakfast.  Some of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities.  It must be remembered that this is not a hotel so your rooms might not be prepared each day The owner of the house does speak limited English but your Group Leader is the person to speak to if you have any requests regarding the trip.

Since the increase in popularity of bottled water, many countries are experiencing a problem of litter especially where adequate recycling is not available. Please could you try, where possible, to use purification tablets or filters for water or buy bigger bottles of water between group members and decant into your individual water bottles.

Your visit brings much-needed income to this area where people are still trying to recover from the war torn years that disrupted their lives so badly. By visiting, you are contributing directly to this recovery and helping local people rebuild their future.

Sea Kayaking

Our sea kayaks are made from polyethylene Prijon; generally double person kayaks are used, which are stable and easy to paddle. In addition to your paddle, spray decks and life jackets are also provided. Kayak trips involve 2-3 hours of easy paddling and are suitable for all ages. No previous experience is required; qualified instructors accompany you at all times. Occasionally kayakers are even escorted by friendly dolphins or tuna fish!

If you or your children find that you do not take to kayaking or if you just want a rest from it, then you can travel between the islands by ferry instead of by kayak.
